WebbThe author misses the point of the Socratic method. It is to teach students the common-law method that they will use as lawyers. I've been practicing for over 20 years now. Every day I use those skills of close analysis, analogy, and rigorous testing of the analogy that I learned by working through cases in first year under the Socratic method.
