Most of the coins and smaller items I find are less than five inches. Larger items will read up to 8-9 inches. WebJul 4, 2024 · I also found the 11 inch Fisher dd coil seemed to get an extra inch or two of depth over the 10 inch elliptical. I had one of the best days ever with the F5. I found 5 silver coins in one hour and all were single digs(no coin spills) Other than the famed CZ series, I believe the F5 was Fisher's best coin detector.

From what I gathered from the posts, it will find things deeper than 8" (like the CZ's meter that went to 8") but the digital readout of depth (Depth Reading) maxes out at 8" on the F-70.
